Are we there yet?

The general consensus on the ship is the feeling of are we there yet??...Its been a very long and amazing 6 days on the boat...days here seem much longer than that of home, probably because they actually are with losing an hour of sleep every night and not getting my typical 10-12 hours of sleep and also going to class for 9 days straight.  Tonight we change our clocks forward another hour, putting us 4 hours ahead of the east coast.  On Friday Lauren and i went to Semester at Sea's equivalent of Hillel where there was Shabbat dinner, we were hoping there would be different food and some wine, of course neither were the case.  We arrive into Cadiz on Wednesday and we plan to head straight to Sevilla.  My friend Jillian is studying abroad there so I plan to meet up with her.  The next morning we head out to Barcelona for 2 nights.  Planning trips on the ship is not so easy, the internet on the ship is incredibly slow and also costs a lot of money.  My roommates computer had free internet for about the first 4 days so that was very useful but still very slow.  So far I have all of Spain planned, Morocco is almost done (just need to book the hotel but my roommates mom is a travel agent and offered to do that for us), Safari in Namibia, day trips in Cape Town, one service project in India and an all inclusive trip to Thailand to Bangkok and Phuket.  This trip has created a very different experience in the professor/dean/crew/student relationship.  For example the Dean and Captain are often out at the pool having drinks with us on a nightly basis, they are very down to earth and are very open to talk about any subject and instead of making appointments with the professors you can just talk to them in the halls.  The other day I went to go work out...running on a treadmill while at sea is a very difficult task. That's about all the news for now, probably wont write again until after Spain or possibly Morocco.
